i don't know if it's a postfix-specific problem (i
suspect it isn't). i've just started using trustees,
and i saw that after a day postfix starts giving errors
like this:
... postfix/virtual[6842]: 9E144AFE: to=<...>,
relay=virtual, delay=0, status=deferred (maildir
delivery failed: link to
///data/mail/near.hu/eperfa/new/1151619081.V4812Ib47.natalie.near.hu:
Invalid cross-device link)
at the end i found this in syslog before the error
happened:
29 19:26:53 natalie kernel: Trustees: Building new
trustee hash
... kernel: Trustees: Added element to trustee hash: j
8, name : /mail
yes, as you can see, i have an entry for the directory
in which postfix wanted to write.
umounting the trusteesfs and removing the kernel mod
solved my problem immediately...
as there any kind of ongoing developement? (or merging
to baseline?)
anyway, good work, despite the bug

    This problem has been fixed in the git repository. You can grab a trustees git repository in several methods:

    git clone git://git.aeruder.net/trustees.git

    or:

    git clone http://git.aeruder.net/trustees.git

    or to just get a tarball of the current HEAD, please visit this link:

    http://gitweb.aeruder.net/?p=trustees.git;a=snapshot;h=HEAD;sf=tgz

    Let me know if this doesn't fix your problem.

    Just to clarify, hard links used to only be allowed in current directory. Now I've refined that restriction to across hard links, which should fix most common uses of hard links including those in maildir's.
