Hi,
Please look at the 3 images below:

Did you see the difference? Transmission on Mac and uTorrent both provide
option to add torrent jobs via Manget links from the main toolbar.
Since most of the torrent sites are moving (or will gradually prefer to move)
to Magnet only like TPB, I request you to please add option for adding
torrent from Magnet link in the Toolbar. (Currently it is only possible from
File menu.)
It will be great help.
Thanks.

This is an enhancement request, don't put it in this forum.
This project is "Unofficial Windows build of Transmission-Qt", why ask here
for a change in the official Transmission-Qt?
Is the whole idea to save one mouse click? or just do what other do?
I know it would look good, one more button with a flashy icon. But I
wouldn't even use that button, I usually just click on the magnet link, and
that's it.
A real deficiency is that the application accepts drag-and-drop of regular
links, but not of magnet links.
Making both those changes (yours and the magnet D&D) is easy, its probable
that they would be accepted.

Thanks for suggesting Drag and Drop. I guess I should have looked at it more
carefully.

I have a question for you: is magnet association not working for you or you
just don't like it?
And a note on magnet D&D: It doesn't work with sites that use javascript or
another indirect way to deliver the magnet; neither does torrent files -- the
indirection messes things up. Association still works with those -- the Web
browser does the job.

Hi,
Magnet association works fine. I'll tell you my problem scenario. Actually I
have started using Transmission in a big way recently after I happen to find
your TrQt project. Before that I had tried almost all P2P clients (like
Tribler, Deluge, KTorrent, QBittorrent, Tixati, BitComet, FDM, etc) in search
of a better client than uTorrent. Currently I mostly use Transmission and
uTorrent.
Now scenario is I have a lot of torrents in uTorrent that are downloading and
seeding which are of particular category (say some movie like L5 Pioneer one)
and I don't want to mess around with that setup since I add the torrent and
forget about it and check it around few days when it has finished downloading
(I have set the BOSS mode).
So suppose I happen to find some interesting file while web browsing which can
be D/L on P2P (which is small and can be downloaded in few minutes or hours),
I try to download it via Transmission (and this happens a lot of time since I
browse web for hours continuously). And I do this because if try to add it to
uTorernt then I have to add that torrent job, wait for it to finish, delete
the completed torrent from uTorrent which is distracting and repetitive.
Also, I have defaulted Magnet association to uTorrent.
And D&D is still a good feature to have.
Thanks.

Hi, I also found one bug in TRQt

Thanks.

I also found one bug
Only one?
The reason for that discrepancy is that they use different refresh rates. I
really doubt that on Linux things are different.
And I would not call that a bug.
So different refresh rates show you the information at different times, and if
you see a graph you would see that yes the rate went from 24 to 14 and then
some... who cares? The Transmission developers did care (after a lot of
complaints), and they came up with some kind of delayed, some average over a
short period, kind of statistic. Its not perfect, but in this case it can't be
(unless you trick the stats to make the user happy).
