I've created a new mode for TripleA called showMapOnly. It's a completely passive display mode whereby you cannot interact with gameplay. It's nice if you want to watch the AI play against itself or if you just want to display a game in progress. In showMapOnly mode the battle pane and history pane are suppressed. It also won't show the right hand side panel. The code won't let you enter showMapOnly mode if there are any local human players. Users can leave showMapOnly mode anytime. The diff is attached. All changes were made to 1.0.2.0 Thanks, Smutt |

How do I apply this patch? Usually I generate a patch by doing svn diff > somePatchFile And then I can apply the patch using eclipse or the patch command. Eclipse and the patch command both give me errors when I try to apply this file. Sean ----- Original Message ---- From: Andrew McConachie <sm...@de...> To: tri...@li... I think the game would be easier to follow if we still showed the game actions on the map. In particular, showing arrows indicating where units are moving, and centering the map on the territory where things are happening. The code for this is in HistoryDetailsPanel. Perhaps that class could be split up so that the Map would update and move when in "show map only" mode. I've applied the patch to the trunk for the 1.0.3.1 version. I like your suggestion for an additional revision, Sean. I'll either work on that for the next release, or if Andrew feels up to it, he can work on it. I've gone ahead and implemented your suggestion. I stole the code that handled route displaying from HistoryDetailsPanel and put it in TripleAFrame in gameDataChanged. It required another import for TripleAFrame but it seemed like the easiest way to accomplish this. This patch is off the latest trunk as of today. --Smutt On Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 2:57 AM, Kevin Comcowich <com...@ya...> wrote: > I've applied the patch to the trunk for the 1.0.3.1 version.
