Composing sentences in the way you describe doesn't work in languages closer to the original either. (Swedish is closer to English than Ukrainian is.) %s can be used for things like file names and other fixed strings, but not for proper parts of the sentences. It would not have worked TO English either, if the source string had been in some other language. Whenever I find things that are not translatable to Swedish for this reason, I send a not to the author of the program. I encourage you to do the similarily. |
