Crashes and "can't read data" are more often when
system ist under CPU load but - if task priority of
fan control is increased both are reduced

What' about a "service process" started from fan
control to wath if fan control is still running? If
the service process task dies, fancontrol restarts it
and vice versa ... just some thoughts. Thanks for
this hack,

Frank

    There is a service version of the whole thing available. You
    can make Windows restart it whenever it crashes, although it
    contains a couple of fixes making it not crash (at least for
    me). See
    <http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?p=164333#164333>
    for more information.

  • The "can't read data" message should usually not longer occur.
    The service idea is already noted in the README file.

    closing this.
