I am running LMDE (linux mint debian edition). Results of uname -a:
Linux maybeinnovations 2.6.37-0.dmz.4-liquorix-amd64 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 18 00:15:22 CST 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I downloaded the 2.1.3 .deb from sourceforge and installed it. No problem. I then open tora and lo and behold nowhere can I select "oracle" from the connection type.
libclntsh.so libnnz10.so libocijdbc10.so libsqlplus.so
libclntsh.so.10.1 libocci.so libocixe.so libsqora.so.10.1
libheteroxa10.so libocci.so.10.1 libsqlplusic.so
So the oracle_home is set and correct. What do I need to do to instruct TOra to try and connect to oracle? Do I need to set up a TNSNames.ORA first?
