I built tora trunk from svn 3263 and having a small problem with it.  When I connect to a database as a normal user with no access to v$ views, I'm not able to query anything.  I get the following error when I attempt to run a simple query like "select 1 from dual"

    Error:
    ------------------------------------
    Tue Sep 1 10:33:12 2009
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    SELECT MIN(SID) FROM <ERROR>V$MYSTAT

    Tue Sep 1 10:33:12 2009
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    SELECT b.Name,a.Statistic#,a.Value
      FROM V$SesStat a,<ERROR>V$StatName b
    WHERE a.SID = :f1      AND a.statistic# = b.statistic#
    -------------------------

The query never runs and I get no results.   Any idea on what needs to be configured to get around this issue.

    regards,
    Mike

Do you have statistics turned on? Check the toolbar left of the 'Refresh' label, the stop watch.

thanks, unchecking the stop watch removes the error.      How do I get it to default in the off position?

It's in Edit->Preferences->SQL Editor, clear 'Enable Statistics'

You might also check out the Oracle settings, clear 'v$sql_plan'.
