    Hi,
I just installed TOra 3.0.0 on Windows7 64bit machine. I already have Oracle client 10i installed. When I start the application it gives error that no available connection provider.
Posts on similar topic are specific for Linux versions but not getting any post related to Windows.

Appreciate if one can throw some light on this.

    • Has ORACLE_HOME been set?

Is %ORACLE_HOME% and %ORACLE_HOME%\lib on the path? Check with path command in dos-box.

Are Tora and Oracle client both 32-bit or both 64-bit?

        Hi Gerard,
Thanks for the info. However this still does not work.
I checked the %PATH% and updated as needed however see difference in TOra (64 bit) whereas oracle client (checked sqlplus only) seems to be 32 bit. Can this be attributed to 32/64 bit difference?

After making above changes TOra still gives No available connection provider as soon as it is launched.

        • Two things:

          • I don't know much about Microsoft, but I think a 64-bit Tora will not be able to use a 32-bit Oracle client. Install the most
            recent 64-bit client, 11g ?
          • Check your Tora installation for a fake oci.dll. Tora used to come with this "stub" which prevents Tora to find the correct
            oci.dll

          Good luck,

          Gerard
