Hi,

Sometimes I do a cvs update, I would like to do an
operation on certain files only (like checkin a subset
of the modified files). I don't think there's currently
a way to do this. It would be nice if it could be
supported, maybe with some kind of table widget with
the name of the file on one side and a checkbox beside
it. Then, you select the files you want and run a cvs
command on those files only.

Maybe I don't understand ... Are you talking about a window
other than the Workdir Browser? That has click-on-filename
file selection just like any other GUI ...

Yes, I mean something else. Suppose you have a deep
directory structure and you changed a number of file in
certain directories. Now you want to check in the files, but
not all of them. You can do a CVS update to see the files
that have been modified, but then, if you only want to
checki in a portion of those files, you have to fo to each
directory, select the files you want to commit and then
commit them. What I would like to do is selct files in the
CVS Update window and from there, do a commit of those files
only. Then, in the ChangeLog, there is only one commit time
for all files and the same message for all of them.

    Does that explain it better?
