When the first note on event in a midi file doesn't start at 0, that implies that there is a silence before the music starts. However, Timidity seems to trim this silence, so that the first note always starts at t=0. Is there a way to prevent this (other than inserting a silent note at t=0 in the midi file)?
Many thanks for any help!
The latest CVS has a new switch added (--preserve-silence) which does exactly that.
