Good Afternoon all,
I have now noticed that tikiwiki no longer (and I remember that it
once did) validates a XHTML 1.0 transitional. I noted it when trying
to spot a problem in my blog and finding that wouldnt validate, I then
tried a blog on tw.o, which also failed to validate.
I then tried http://tikiwiki.org/index.php - which also fails to
Now most of the validation problems are minor annoyances, but might be
worth looking at fixing for 1.10. The thing I note is the data passed
into the overlib stuff - this could be represented as a non displaying
(that is css display: none;) div, and the overlib function given the
node/element ID - which would validate.
Also, URLs in square brackets in the wiki markup should maybe have
their ampersands escaped. I dont beleive it would be difficult to
perform this in the code that wraps them in their anchor tags.
In the meantime, I will comment out the XHTML 1.0 Valid logo that I
had in the bottom bar of my site... Oh well..
