I'm wondering if anyone has used cvs2cl.pl (A perl script that creates a
GNU-style ChangeLog from your CVS commits) while also using Smarty
(which creates a templates_c directory for compiled templates). My
problem is that I can't run cvs2cl.pl because the cvs log command
doens't get past the templates_c directory:
cvs log: in directory data/templates_c:
cvs [log aborted]: there is no version here; do 'cvs checkout' first
But, I don't want a templates_c folder in my CVS repository and
certainly not in my ChangeLog. I've tried adding this line to my
without the desired results (because I think the ignore file only works
for files, not directories).
Any suggestions as to the preferred workaround?
