Let me disagree, The time needed to load the .css file by the browser is irrelevant compared with a query or the time PHP takes to parse some libraries. And the factorization will discourage template writers. I know 6 files ok 2k are the same as one 12k files but people tend to refuse to edit 6 files while they may be delighted to edit only one :-) > -----Original Message----- > From: tik...@li... > [mailto:tik...@li...] On Behalf > Of Colley, Tony > Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2003 11:21 AM > To: TikiWiki Devel List > Subject: Re: [Tikiwiki-devel] Themes > > > As I was getting ready for work this morning I was thinking > about TikiWiki themes... > > I think it would be beneficial to factorize the existing CSS > files for each theme... so that there is a specific CSS file > for Wiki pages, another for Image Gallery pages, another for > Forum pages, etc. There could be a base CSS file for each > theme that each section CSS file would include; this base > file would define the "global" elements of a theme. > > One of the reasons I would like this factorization, is that I > would like to be able to have different themes in different > sections of my website.
