Hello friends, as I am working in the context of Bootstrap integration, I am desperately trying to get the .js/jquery components of Bootstrap running in Tiki. And I am stuck, cause .js/jquery is not what I am in contact usually ('til now). Info I got together by now: * jQuery Version Tiki uses jQuery 1.10.2 Bootstrap needs the newest jQuery, which is either one of two branches: 1.10.2 or 2.0.3 I have read, that Bootstraps default is 1.10.2 http://bootswatch.com uses jQuery 2.0.3 for Bootstrap 3.0.x http://getbootstrap.com uses jQuery 1.10.2 for Bootstrap 3.0.1 * CSS and Templates I have integrated bootstrap.css in /styles and made standart changes in /templates/layout So far this works well. I use mainly bootstrap.css and a few custom elements and a basic version of lite. No standart Tiki theme.css anymore, but all basic css like admin.css cssmenus.css, etc. . I did setup an alternative directory for bootstrap layout in templates/layout aka templates/layout/layout_view.tpl - that works good aswell. * Bootstrap .js files For a first 'proof of concept' I downloaded the whole Bootstrap directory and put it (unzipped) in Tikis document root. so I have /bootstrap/dist/... /bootstrap/assets/... etc. . * Elements like Menus, etc. wiki pages: I have setup a few ~np~{HTML()}<code...>{HTML}~/np~ based wikipages presented on http://bootswatch.com and http://getbootstrap.com custom module: In the header I have a handmade navigation menu made with plain <html> syntax. All css selectors and elements are same as on bootswatch.com and getbootstrap.com. These elements do not yet work, as I cannot get the bootstrap.js "working" * Look and Feel - custom code boxes I tried to apply the .js in different variants aswell either to the head section or to the end of the body section: <script src="./bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script> or <script src="/bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.js"></script> or <script src="bootstrap/dist/js/bootstrap.js"></script> ********* Please, can somebody help? I feel, it would be kind of a step to have the stuff running, evenj if the code finally will be organised in a different way. I want to continue with themes (templates and css), maybe try some wikiplugin and besides that dogfoot on a few own projects, but without the .js it is not really a point. Thx for feedback, hints, a hand or two ... cheers Torsten |
