Are you sure it is not too much to add a preference for each plugin? IMHO, it is wonderful to be able to configure everything but ... there are too many preferences in Tiki actually, and some simplification can be great. For instance, the box, center, code,dl, gauge, include, split, module plugins are generic. Why do you want to put a preference for each? The avatar plugin goes with the avatar feature (in fact, I don't remember if there is really one feature, so perhaps it is generic) The copyright plugin can be atomatically actuvated if the copyrigth feature is. The category , catpth plugin can be automatically activated with the category, feature The sql plugin as soon as a dsn is defined. The wikigraph with the graph feature ..... So perhaps only one preference for "do you want plugins"? > -----Original Message----- > From: tik...@li... > [mailto:tik...@li...]On Behalf Of mose > Sent: Sunday, September 07, 2003 7:41 PM > To: tik...@li... > Subject: Re: [Tikiwiki-devel] wiki-plugins and wiki-plugins-dist > > > le Sun, Sep 07, 2003 at 07:06:26PM -0400 par Sylvie Greverend : > > In the doc, wiki-plugins is supposed to be a copy of the > plugins you want > > from wiki-plugins-dist. > > But in reality, the files in both directory are not the > same, and some are > > only in wiki-plugins .... > > > > I propose: > > 1) to move the include plugin from wiki-plugins-dist to > wiki-plugins (the > > only one only in dist) > > 2) to delete the directory wiki-plugins-dist > > 3) to modify the doc : "If you want to take away one plugin, > delete it" > > - let's put just one line per plugin in tiki_preferences, with > some of them off > by default.
