It would be a great feature, if we could split a long
article (or wiki page) in section and edit a single
section instead all the article.

A good example pf that is given bi MediaWiki Section

    I agree and I extend to the principle that TW must have
    every nice feature that Mediawiki has.

    1. uniquely number each section (already done?)
    2. provide edit link for each section ->
    tiki-editpage.php?page=Foo&section=n
    3. library function to grab just the text between two sections
    4. per-section locking like the current per-page locking,
    check on editpage whether any section is locked
    5. modified editpage.tpl with only the relevant fields
    6. library function to insert the modified section back into
    the full page
    7. library function to merge multiple simultaneous section
    edits for different sections
