I have discovered a bug when editing templates (using
Dreamweaver) if I change a template and it has spaces
in the tpl they seem to end up being displayed as
question marks. e.g.

?Home
?Statistics
?Categories
[-] MyTiki (click!) [+]
?Preferences
?Messages
?Webmail
?My files
?My watches

[-] Wiki [+]
?Wiki Home

Also if I try inserting the

tag in the
tpl instead of the space it does exactly the same and
when I go back to the template in Dreamweaver it is
showing a space again and the

has
disappeared.

Its a dreamweaver problem. not a tiki problem. The
character set dreamweaver uses needs changing to a nmore
unix complient one rather than a windows one. Its the same
as for line endings. In TikiWiki source you need to have LF
    only Windows uses CR/LF
