Skjalm, I hope you receive this twice, confirming that the list works. Here is a schedule suggestion for a first release of thx. Each number marks a "mini milestone" and is marked with the "focus" of that version. Current version is 0.2.5 as you know. The aim is to make a first public release with version 0.3.0 in a 2-3 week timeframe. At that point the game should be "playable", although it will lack nice graphics and more advanced rendering. This is suggestions only, for you to comment. ** 0.2.6 (Player/Game issues) - Correct change between players and end game - menu options should have effect ossible - player names - fix player placement on start better - multiple projectile system - multiple rounds - economics model - buy projectiles between rounds ** 0.2.7 (Display issues) - make multiple views available, switching between them - update in game HUD (use font texture rendering) - make trace game option in menu ** 0.2.8 (Sound issues) - enable basic sound support - menu sounds - fire sounds - impact sounds ** 0.2.9 (Clean up) - move data to consistent structure - fix remaining showstopper bugs - Write some documentation - play test ** 0.3.0 (Beta/Sourceforge) - rename project to thx. - make GPL aware As you can see, I do not have the map loading code in there. If you want to include it before version 0.3.0 we will probably have to talk about it, and how to do it. There seems to be little reason to _load_ a map, if you are generating them randomly, we may as well include the map generating code and use that. Let me know what you think.
