Hi, the new svg icons look very nice but, IMHO, they lack contrast, as one can see it by comparing the current SVN TXS: http://gte.univ-littoral.fr/members/dbitouze/pub/latex/texstudio/png-vs-svg-icons/svg-icons/downloadFile/file/txs-svg.png with old TXS 2.3: http://gte.univ-littoral.fr/members/dbitouze/pub/latex/texstudio/png-vs-svg-icons/png-icons/downloadFile/file/txs-png.png Best regards. -- Denis |

Hi Denis, could be a little more specific which icons don't meet your expectations ? IMHO some of the lines could be a bit more bold, particularly the ones of operators, relations, arrows, delimiters, greek letters and misc math. Furthermore \frac and \dfrac. Maybe it's ok on a highres. display, but on a normal display the thin lines blur to a shade of grey. please , open up inkscape and do the changes yourself. Small changes are easy to do and this way, it is much faster than describing what is wrong and waiting for someone else changing it (likely wrongly again). I didn't change these icons myself because I don't know what are the relevant .svg files: are they picked up from the symbols-ng ones? If so, we can't make just for instance "lambda" or "for all" extra bold as they will be bolder than the other symbols when the corresponding panels will be displayed... Best regards. -- Denis |

The symbols on the left are generated via scripts from latex expressions. The symbols are generated from symbols-ng/icons.xml On a more basic level, the symbols are (dark) grey. Concerning contrast, that is not optimal. Maybe the set-up there should be reconsidered, as classical colour scheme is okay imho. Hi, The command \mathbf is not applicable for greek letters. Try to use \boldsymbol or \pmb (or use the package bm which is more powerful). Regards, G.
