When using the embedded PDF viewer, Ctrl+F finds text in the source, but it is not possible to search for text in the PDF itself, unless I use the windowed viewer. Searching in the PDF is useful when trying to find text such as "Table 6", which does not appear in the source. It would be great to have the ability to find text in the PDF even in the embedded viewer.

Thanks!

I'm not able to do this on a Mac (2.7.0 QT5). With the focus on the viewer, Cmd+F opens the find dialogue in the source window and will only search the source. Is there something I'm missing?

In 2.7.0 there was still a bug that the editor could receive a shortcut instead of the viewer (when it's embedded). This was fixed in hg 4363 (ec0fa00cda6e) and will be part of the next release. It should also correct your issue.
