Hopefully TeXstudio can support handwriting recognition and free drawing input. Reference: Inlag and TeXtablet. This is especially good for modern computer users who can benefit from touchable/penable screen/pad. If implemented, I would use TeXstudio to take notes in every class... Thanks.

    Support for math formula input has been included by interfacing TeXtablet (Win7 only).

    Other OSs and textual hand-writing recognition will not be supported in the forseeable future due to lack of proper libraries (See discussion on the mailing list 2012-09-09 -2012-09-11).

    Free drawing support would be possible in principle, but is not a priority at the moment. I suggest to use any drawing software and drag-and-drop the created image file to texstudio.
