Summary: Instead of highlighting the current line TexStudio should highlight
the current element around current cursor position. These elements include
the current sentence (or paragraph), the current equation in display math,
the current line in tabulars or the current environment. As fallback TexStudio
can revert to highlighting the current line if no other element can be found.
Explanation: Lately I have been using TexStudio for a lot scientific writing.
Since I usually have write both short and clear I tend to make a lot of
changes to my sentences. After making changes I usually read the entire
sentence again to check for mistakes. If the current sentence is highlighted,
it is easier to find the beginning of the sentence and make looking over the
sentence much easier.
Dealing with all possible elements seems quite complex to me. So I think
it would wise to limit this feature to sentences for now. Everything else
can be added later if other users like this feature as well.
I have attached a screenshot where the current sentence is highlighted.
