biblatex is becoming the standard for bibliographies in LaTeX.
This tool however only supports \bibliography{file.bib} for compatibility and has listed this command as deprecated.

The new way of defining files is \addbibresource{file.bib}.
It would be wise to include this in the code for finding scanning bib files.

I highly support this feature request! IMHO, a complete biblatex compliance should be considered.

Also "Bibtex" label name, in menu Option-> Configure TmX -> Commands, should be replaced by "Bibliography" or "Bibliography backend": BibTeX is not the only bibliography engine that could be used. As a matter of fact, biber is much more efficient.

It's a bit sad that TexStudio is advertised as being biblatex compatible, when it cannot even recognise this most basic command. Texmaker has recognised this command for some time now. Please either add this, or stop falsely claiming biblatex compatibility.

As far as I've tested this works. Please report, if there is something not working for you.

This seems to work and could be closed accordingly.
