    Hi,

I have pdf images included in a latex document compiled using pdflatex. Everything compiles as expected, but when I view the document in th internal pdf viewer, the labels on axes and other text on my images do not appear at all. If I open the file with an external viewer, the everything appears as expected. Anyone else had this problem or have ideas on how to fix this. I'm using texstudio on a mac.

  • we need a minimal example to reproduce the problem.
Can you provide a small pdf (maybe with one image) that shows that problem ?

I've created a small example, and also included in the folder is a screenshot so you can see what it looks like on my end. It seems like it's some issue with the fonts in the viewer(?).

  • okay, as usual, no problems here.
What version of txs do you use. Which version of OSX.
What fonts does the pdf viewer say, the pdf contains ?

How strange. I'm using TeXstudio 2.5.2 (SVN 3651M)

The fonts in the pdf viewer are:
SHZUJX+CMR12, type 1, subset yes, embedded
    Helvetica, type 1, subset no
    Helvetica-Bold, type 1, subset no.

Let me know if there is any other info I can give. Thanks for the help.

oh, and my OSX version 10.7.5

  • Does txs give a file path for the font file ? Here it is something like /usr/... .pfb

Could you let me know how to find the path for the font files. I found the listing for the font files by using the pdf viewer menu: Window->Show->Fonts. Nothing else appeared in that window. Anything else that could be wrong.
