    Hello

I have been trying to configure the Inverse and Direct Search to work on
Ubuntu, but I haven't been able to.
I´m using Kile as a pdf viewer and the instructions as posted here
    http://www.dm.ufscar.br/~sadao/latex/tex-
    linux.php?lang=en#TeXMaker
, but I got no results. Is there something am I
missing? or what is the correct way to make it work?

    Thanks in advance, Jorge

  • kile is not a pdf viewer (it is a latex text editor like tmx).
You should take okular like suggested in your referenced document

You are right I mistyped, I meant i tried with Okular as the pdf viewer
....... However, I followed those instructions configuring Okular and
TexmakerX as the reference says, but it still does not work. Any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance, Jorge

  • direct search works for me fine (with the given parameters)
inverse search does not work as advertised but that seems to be a problem of
    okular ...

  • At least for dvi-files the inverse search works if you set the --src-specials
option on latex and click shift+left in okular.

Yes, it works fine with dvi files, but It seems that the problem is from
    okular.
I will have to work for now with dvi files, expecting newer versions of
    okular.

    Thanks for your help, Jorge.
