Cite autocompletion

TXS - Help

  • When I write \cite in TeXstudio I would expect to obtain an autocompletion
list with the items in the bibliography (I do not use bibtex). However, such a
list does not appear. Is there a way to configure this feature properly?

  • is the command \bibliography{file} present in your document ?

  • No, it isn't. But, if I'm not mistaken, this command is for using bibtex, and
'file' must be the .bib file. But I'm interested in this feature without
having to use bibtex. I simply use the thebibliography environment. Do you
know if it is possible? Thanks.

  • seems that i has not worked in txs 2.3, implemented in svn version of txs

  • I don't understand, sorry. Do you say that this cite autocompletion for
bibitem items is not implemented in txs 2.3? Can one change some settings to
    add this functionality?

  • cite autocompletion for bibitem items is not implemented in txs 2.3.
The next version of txs will contain it. Right now you need to use bibtex.

  • Ok, thank you!
