    Dear all,

I would like to ask about the difference between soft-wrap and hard-wrap in
advance editor settings. I have set a fixed number of max. character in a line
butI cannot see the difference behavior between both of them in TeXstudio. I
expect that with hard-wrap setting and fixed max. number character each line
is set as a new line and a line number is given.

    NB: I use TeXstudion 2.3, Miktex 2.9, and Windows 7 64 bit

    Thank you in advance

    Hi all,

I have the same question as hidayatz. I have the same configuration on my main
machine as described above. Addtionally, I tried that on an older WindowsXPx32
SP3 machine with TeXStudio 2.3 and don´t see any difference between soft-wrap-
    and hard-wrap-mode either.

    Best regards
    Martin

  • hard wraps only adds the additionla line breaks when you save the text.
Otherwise you would generate many lines when you add text in the middle of a
line and push the end of the line over the character limit.

imho hard wrap is not really a useful feature and should be avoided, but some
    insist...
