    I like the ability to be able to use my own code through the "User Tags" menu.
    However I don't use some of the menus such as LaTeX -> \includegraphics
    because I don't like the LaTeX code it produces. I was thinking is there any
    way I can edit the source so that it goes from:

    \includegraphics{myPicture.png}

    to something more like:

    \begin{figure}
    \centering
    \includegraphics{myPicture.png}
    \caption{}
    \end{figure}

    which is much more useful for my daily use.

    TIA

  • It is not possible to change that in the current version.

    The only thing you could try is to download the source, modify it and compile
    it yourself. If you have qt and gcc this is pretty easy, the relevant files
    are texmaker.cpp for insert commands which show a dialog and uiconfig.xml for
    commands which always insert the same text.
