TexStudio 2.6.6 is crashing right after latex.exe. It might be problem with the log parser, I think. It happens with some version of a document and stop occuring after some changes are made. Then it occurs again at some point. It comes and goes.

TexStudio runs on Windows. Is there any way to get a stack trace or something similar?
The problem happens with a rather complex document. Any attempts to find a minimal example have failed so far.

Well, it's not reallz crashing. Instead it displays the dialog, where one can click the "try to recover".

  • you could mail us the document directly so tha t we can see the error.

Or you might try to compile txs yourself and run txs in a debugger (qt creator)

It's a scientific paper that hasn't been published yet. Hence, I cannot send it to you.
I could try to reproduce the error on Linux. Would that help?

We need something to reproduce the problem. That might be the original document, a minimal document producing the error or just the log file (in case this is really the problem). If you don't want to post it here, you can send it by mail (thoffmann@texstudio.org).

I installed TexStudio 2.7.0 beta for the person that experienced the crash and the crash went away. The document remained unchanged. I guess, this bug has already been fixed.
