I have a system drive located on N:/ in my Windows 7 installation. However, after installing TexStudio v2.5.1 I found default Spelling Dictionary Directory set to "C:/Program Files (x86)/TeXstudio/dictionaries". That's why no languages for spell chacking were available after the installation. I relocated the entry to N:/ and all works fine now.

Did you install it fresh, or did you have an older version of TeXstudio installed?

I installed it on top of an older version. After I discovered a bug, I uninstalled it and than installed again. Bug persisted.

If you uninstall it, it does not delete the settings.
Only if the texstudio.ini (in some config directory, users/../roaming/?)
is deleted they are

But an older version of TexStudio didn't point to C:/, it correctly used N:/ in paths.

I just tried it and it sets the correct path.
You probably have not deleted all texstudio.ini files
