Since a couple of days I'm running into a weird issue with TeXnic. When I compile a file more than one time in a row the window Server Busy opens up with Cancel grayed. If I click "switch to" the start menu opens up and nothing happens. The only thing I can do is to kill TeXnic and then the process that still runs as a dependence of the "Server Busy" application. The issue occurs with all TeX files I processed, so it doesn't seem to be related to the TeX file itself.
I'm running rel. 2.02 stable 64-bit on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit. I made no change to acrobat or to TeXnic but Win7 recently self-installed a system update.
Any hint?
Thanks
Dario

I have the same problem (2.02 stable, 64bit, win 8.1). In my case it happened several times and I don't think it was related to file compilation, it occured even during merely editing a tex file.

Same issue since yesterday (2.0 Alpha 4, Win 7 with all updates as of 27/1/2014).
    It hangs typically when compiling.

    Found a workaround installing 32-bit version, 2.0.2 (stable). Works on win7 64-bit.

I experience the same problems, but only when the files are opened as part of a project. So far the problem did not occur when I opened and compiled single or several files as separate files (even with exactly the same files that cause the problems in the project).
