A "display line number" option should be available. For
projects consisting in several files, the line numbering
should be continuous through all files. During
compilation, if LaTeX refers to a line number, it won't just
refer to the line number in the file, but to the line number
when all files are included. The same system should be
available in TXC.

Really? I don't think so. At least all tex's I have seen,
print out the line number of the active file.

    I think, displaying line
numbers is usefull. At least for some people. But displaying them like
LaTeX reads them is no good idea.

    What do you
    think?

    Ciao.Tino.

To tell the truth: I don't understand the description of
Raphael. Can someone explain this to me please?

Line numbers per file would indeed come in handy, especially when working with longer wrapped lines.

This shouldn't be too hard to program I suppose?

The editor window should show the line number at the left
    border.

Line numbering should be selectable as a configuration option.
