TeXnicCenter 2.0 Alpha 4 has support for taskbar Jump List. That is, if you rightclick the TexNicCenter icon, you get a list of recently opened files (.tex) and projets (.tcp).

My problem is that .tex entries sometimes push not-so-old.tcp entries from the list.

It would be convenient if the projects would be listed in a separate Jump List group. So one group would display the e.g 5 most recent files, and the projects group would display the most recent tcp projects. Frequent changes to the files would not influence the most recent projects list.

Could you check again with the new version? We did something with respect to recently opened files. Please report back, if you think the issue is not resolved. Thanks!

I just checked with the new beta and the problem still exists. I opened a .tcp file from Windows Explorer and all of its .tex files wiped out anything previous in the jump list.

I agree with edallme. The issue is still existing in Beta 1: .tex files from a project still push the .tcp files of the stack.

The feature has been added to the official feature list.

    Thank you for your report.
