Please provide an option to turn off autocomplete.

I know some people like it, but for me it is an annoying distraction and I am beginning to really hate it. E.g. often it suggest bibliography citation keys that happen to start with the word I just typed, like "the" or "more". I have a large bibliography so many words happen to match.

Please provide an option (in e.g. Tools > Options > Editor) where I can turn autocomplete off completely. (Or maybe, turn on/off autocomplete of commands and citation keys separately.)

Currently using 1.0 Stable RC 1.

Many thanks,

Mark

The feature has been added to the official feature list.

    Thank you for your report.

The goal is to add an option which allows to switch on/off the HINTS for autocompletion of commands and citations and other entities separately.

Note, we are not talking about switching on/off autocompletion itself. That one stays on.

Many thanks - yes turning off the hints is the main issue (or turning off immediately when the cursor moves underneath, so they don't hide the cursor when I want to type on the next line).
