No

There should be a command in the output directory,
that removes all the files generated by LaTeX, BibTeX
and MakeIndex.

In best case, the patterns for the files to remove
should be customizable by the user (options dialog?)

    Hi!

I am somewhat finished with this feature (but not yet commited to
the CVS). There will be a possibility to define the files that shall be
deleted by Wildcards, Placeholders, etc. - And the user is able to define
the files that shall be protected, again by Wildcards, Placeholders,
    etc.

And I will not allow to delete files that the TXC-StructureParser
reported to be part of the project. So I am going to do my best in preventing
    the user from nuking himself/herself.

There will be a dialog in the
options to define all that. And there will be a dialog to confirm the
cleaning, which can be turned off.

    But now for the
    question:

Where shall I write my output to? Something like "The
    following files were deleted:\n ...\n..."

    1. To the BuildTab and
removing the contained output from the last build? (Would be similar to
    Visual Studio)

    2. To a separate and new CleanTab? (Would require me to
write some new classes. Note, that a double click on any of my message lines
    does NOT make any sense.)

    3. To the BuildTab AFTER the last line of the
build output? (No new handler and functions needed - and somewhat similar
    to Visual Studio.)

    Please, followup.

    Ciao.Tino.

    Hi Tino,

    I would appreciate possibility 4 :-)

    4. If wanted by the user, show up a dialog with a list box
that contains the deleted file. If we allow the user to
disable this dialog (in the options dialog), this would be
the best solution -- I guess the most users are not
interested in this information for daily work -- its more
    an information for testing purposes.

    So far...

    Sven

    Hi Sven!

    As I said:

    > And there will be a dialog to confirm the
    >
cleaning, which can be turned off.

So this will be there anyway. And
you do not want to have an extra message somewhere in the output? Ok. Thats
fine for me. Makes things easier. And the best thing is: We can add a message
to the output later on, if the users complain.

    Thank you, Sven, for
    your quick response.

    Ciao.Tino.

Yes, and I ment a dialog, that will be shown, *after* the
deletion. But if your confirmation dialog shows which files
*will* be deleted, then we don't need the result dialog
    necessarily.
