Sync with PDF output. At least, jump to the page in the
pdf, where the user placed the cursor in TXC.

Well, similar to forward search using DVI.

A user wrote, that this should be the right command for
jumping:

[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][DocGoTo("%bm.pdf",%
PageNumber)]

Furthermore, have a look at pdfsync:

http://itexmac.sourceforge.net/pdfsync.html

Thats the way to go.

    I see an alternative way:

IMHO it isn't easy to get the current pagenumber in the
resulting pdf, but the current chapter/section/parapharph is
well known by TeXnicCenter (see the structure panel).
It should not be too problematic to determine in which section
    the cursor is located.

By knowing chapter/section/subsection id you can use the
    Adobe Acrobat DDE-Command "DocGoToNameDest".
    Examples:
    [DocGoToNameDest("%bm.pdf","chapter.1")]
    [DocGoToNameDest("%bm.pdf","section.1.2")]
    [DocGoToNameDest("%bm.pdf","subsection.1.2.2")]

(complete command for using as forward search DDE-
    command:
    [DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][DocGoToNameDest("%bm.pdf",
    "section.2.2")]

My suggestion is to create a variable for the search forward
command that holds the current chapter/section/subsection
    id, for example %bookmark ?

    [DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][DocGoToNameDest("%bm.pdf","%
    bookmark")]

Thats an interesting idea! Thank you Jan! But I guess those
named destinations are only available when one uses the
    hyperlink package?

Yes, the hyperref package is a requirement for generating the
bookmarks which can be accessed by [DocGoToNameDest()].
