It seems that word wrapping is not working as I type. Is there any specific configuration to re-enable this?
Which version of Eclipse are you running? There has been reported a problem in Eclipse 4.2 with wrapping (https://sourceforge.net/projects/texlipse/forums/forum/451977/topic/5243569), and this problem is linked with Eclipse not supporting soft wrapping by default. Texlipse implements soft wrapping in a non optimal way, which now seems to have some problem, which I've looked at but I haven't found the solution yet.
Thanks for the quick reply!
It is Eclipse 4.2 (Juno). However, soft wrapping is disabled in Preferences. Hard wrap, on the other hand, is enabled.
Maybe this is related to the problem I've seen with soft wrapping. I'll look at it when I get time, though I won't promise any solution, as I'm new in this project.
Thanks! Good luck. :)
Also, when I switch between Soft-wrapping and hard-wrapping I get a NullPointerException.
Right know, Wrapping does not work AT ALL. Using Juno too.

It seems that it is already solved in source:
Is it possible to make a release soon?
Soince this is already fixed in source, is there a way to provide a release, patch or sth similar? I'd very appreciate something like this.
Yes please please provide a new release. Texlipse is so great and it's a pity that word wrapping doesn't work with Eclipse 4.x
I wrote a fix for word wrapping, line numbering and how to use it in TeXlipse :) See my comment in the bug tracker https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3542507&group_id=133306&atid=726818
