I saved my scipt in the xml format available and now it won't open it. I opened the file and the information is still there but it won't show up in the program. Any help would be great. Thanks (michelea@evwilliams.com)

Discussion

  • I cut text from Open Office and pasted it into the segment editor, saved the segment and the file. When I went to look at it again, I observed behavior consistent with what this guy is describing - I can re-open the xml file but it appears to be empty - without any segment. I went to a hex editor and the xml file appeared intact. When I examined it more closely, I discovered that some of the carriage returns, in the text inside the <teleprompter> tag, were coded as hex "09". When I replaced those with "0D 0A" using a hex editor, telekast was able to open the files - the problem disappeared. I can send you copies of the files if you want to see them.
