an attribute for graphic and/or figure to specify what
type they are. It would be handy (especially when
performing xslt) to be able to declare the mime type of
the graphic.

If the sole purpose of this is to be pre-warned what
mimetype the thing at the end of a URL has then
    (a) it belongs on graphic only, not figure
    (b) isn't that something that following the URL should tell you?
    (c) an attribute named "mimeType" would be more appropriate
-- we have far too many "type"s already!

I have now added mimeType as an attribute to <graphic>, with
the same definition as it has for <binaryObject>
