I've just downloaded tei-vesta as .deb from the TEI repository. I give it an input ODD (which works fine with Roma), ask it for RNG only, and as a result I get RNG whose whole content is:

<wholeContent>
namespace rng = "http://relaxng.org/ns/structure/1.0"

# Schema generated from ODD source 2009-07-28T22:07:13Z.
# TEI Edition:
#

#
# This template file is not freely available until it gets released in the (pre)final form.
start = tei_teiCorpus
</wholeContent>

In the process "Recoverable errors" are thrown in the terminal, looking like this:

Recoverable error on line 1933 of odd2odd.xsl:
FODC0002: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/share/tei-vesta/resources/local/p5subset.xml
(No such file or directory)
Recoverable error on line 338 of odd2odd.xsl:
FODC0002: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/share/tei-vesta/resources/local/p5subset.xml
(No such file or directory)
Recoverable error on line 338 of odd2odd.xsl:
FODC0002: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/share/tei-vesta/resources/local/p5subset.xml
(No such file or directory)

I suppose I should add some resources, but what resources and where do I take them from? (And why weren't they a dependency of the .deb package?)

Discussion

  • The Vesta package should have had a dependency on the "tei-p5-source" package. I will
    fix this in the next release. In the meanwhile, that's what you need to install.
