Any reason Tile wasn't included in Tiger? It seems a strange omission
given that Tile essentially completes the task of making TkAqua fully
native/integrated with other OS X apps.
I'm planning on significantly downsizing the next Tiger version of
DPGUI, relying on all the bits included with Tiger, but I'll have to
continue bundling Tile.
If you're not at liberty to discuss this, I understand. Just thought I'd

you have to realize that the list of extensions included in the
proposal to Apple had to be finalized almost a year ago now... also we
were told that any extensions bundled with the OS will most likely not
be updated until the next major OS release.
Tile was just too much of a moving target at that time (and still is
IMO), we really only considered "final release quality" extensions.
Also, there were constraints on how much time I could spend on
developing the Darwin makefiles for the submission, TkHTML and Vu
didn't end up making it largely due to lack of time on my end...

tile is quite small, ~130K compressed tarball, and
% du -hs /Library/Tcl/tile0.6
so IMO bundling won't be a huge problem...
