I've done a little mroe digging, and I'd like to be a little clearer on
what I'm looking to achieve with my questions about how Tk Aqua supports
Here's a screen shot from the classic Mac OS:
Note the system icons there, "application," "trash," etc. This display
was taken from the standard Tk demo of built-in bitmaps, using the terms
supported natively by the Mac as defined in Tk_GetBitmap.
Here's a screenshot from an application I'm developing:
This is the BWidget tree, with the images modified from what is provided
by BWidget. The folder icons were taken from
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle, and converted to gifs.
Obviously that is a simple solution to the problem, but I don't want to
run afoul of Apple copyright/trademarks by redistributing their icons.
Tk under the Classic Mac OS provided a way to obtain these system images
I'm thinking there should be a way to do this in OS X. These images are
defined in TkMacOSXbitmap.c.
Any suggestions on how to proceed are appreciated.
