Mats,

This is great!  This is as you know and will find out more, probably, 
still an experimental part of Tcl.  We can't really change the upper 
layer of how the notifier works, but we can probably work stuff 
differently at the Mac OS X layer to make things work.  Mostly we just 
need to know what sorts of problems arise...
