SymmetricDS version: 3.7.29
SourceDB: MS SQL Server 2008R2
Target DB: Postgresql 9.2, 9.4, 9.5
I have a table in SQL Server which has a composite primary key {key1: uniqueidentifier, key2: varchar(12), key3: varchar(3)}. Sometimes key3 has a value of " " (ie just spaces). The table is synced to three postgresql nodes. When I populate the target tables using symadmin reload-table, key3 is trimmed to "" (ie empty string). However, when syncing using the ordinary trigger based mechanism, the spaces in key3 are preserved. (I've set up the channel to use the postgresql bulk loader for reloads.) This behaviour may be observed on all three target nodes.
I'd prefer trailing spaces to be preserved and certainly would want consistency between the two transfer modes.
Is there a setting that I can change to modify this behaviour?
Thanks very much for your help.
