Screen is garbled on all consoles (though the
psychadelic patterns are different between text and X),
and eventually machine locks up -- Alt-SysRq doesn't work.
2.6.6+18.104.22.168 works flawlessly.
AGP reinit incompatibility?

Additional (possibly helpful) information:
* Same X software between 2.6.6 and 2.6.7 (I'm running
kernels in parallel).
* 2.6.7+2.0.93 has the same problem, but I can switch over
to a text console, login and restart X _successfully_ while

If you edit kernel/power/suspend2.c and change calls to
device_suspend(3) to device_suspend(4), does the issue go away?
Thanks for getting back to me -- can't subscribe to
swsusp-devel, for some reason.
No, you're suggestion didn't work, and perhaps made the
problem slightly worse -- couldn't restart X after resuming.
Okay. That's good. The change from 4 to 3 is supposed to be the right
thing :>. Are you able to apply 22.214.171.124 to 2.6.7? There'll be a few rejects,
but I don't remember them being a great pain to fix. If you can't I can try to
provide you with a patch, but it won't be immediate.
I couldn't get your suggestion to work (OOPSes all over the
place), but I forward ported the drm stuff from 2.6.6 to
2.6.7, and now swsusp2 works great!
FYI, I spotted a change about "ring buffers" or something
like that concerning Radeon drm in the 2.6.7 ChangeLog.
That might adversely affect swsusp2 ... *shrug*
