Dear list, The python profiler module does not seem to enter the compiled C++ module (*.so). Is there a way to profile the C++ code? Many thanks in advance. Bo |

You need to debug python directly: $ ddd python or $ gdb python then run your python file once gdb> run <mypythonfile>.py then set some breakpoints gdb> break _wrap_myfunc and run again gdb> run Marcelo Bo Peng wrote: >Dear list, > >The python profiler module does not seem to enter the compiled C++ >module (*.so). Oh, sorry, in the last mail I though you want to debug. To profile it, you can use callgrind/kcachegrind. Use it as $ callgrind python myscript.py then run kcachegrind to see the call/profile graphs. It works better if you use -g to compile your module, (note that you still can use -O with -g).
