Patch applied. We should change the code so that EL or ER is not required. One point of having that configuration in a global place is so that we can plot a repeater on APRS even though we are not using EchoLink. Then we may want to use a callsign like SK0CT/R. Or should another APRS packet type be used for that? My APRS knowledge is limited...
