The Fedora Core 4 works better for MEPIS FINAL 6.0 specifically file libasync-0.14.0-1.fc4.i386.rpm When I changed from FC6, installation of this file libasync_0.14 made the "floating point error" go away. root@3[FC4_April15]# qtel Floating point exception root@3[FC4_April15]# dpkg -i libasync_0.14.0-2_i386.deb (Reading database ... 163444 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to replace libasync 0.14.0-2 (using libasync_0.14.0-2_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement libasync ... Setting up libasync (0.14.0-2) ... 73, Fred Finster WB7ODY Will edit my Install notest below to say use FC4 for MEPIS 6.0 and Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06 LTS) http://home.kendra.com/tulip/qtel/Qtel_0.10_Install_notes.txt > But on my main server, with Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06 LTS) I get an error > when stating svxlink. The error says "floating point exception". I have compiled RPM:s for Fedora Core 4. They are available on SourceForge now. Maybe these will work better. > > Do you have any idea in what direction I have to search the sollution of > this problem ? > Learn GDB?? The floating point exception is most likely coming from the libasync file. gqb qtel (gdb) start Breakpoint 1 at 0x80570b6 Starting program: /usr/bin/qtel (no debugging symbols found) Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception. 0x49431439 in ??
