Hi guys! Sorry it's been a while; I'm crazy busy at the mo! Last time we spoke, I'd done everything I could to try and speed up the site load. At the mo it doesn't seem at all bad to me, but I'm not sure... Anyway the one thing that will need to be fixed (but I don't know how and can't find anything on google...) is the screenshots on the front page. If you remember, the wiki refuses to make thumbs of them automatically, so they are resized only with CSS...so the front page has four images which are about 100k each on. I could temporarily work around it by manually making the thumbnails and linking them to the 'discover' page. After that, I would propose to switch to the stk skin and see what the user feedback is... if we get a lot of complaints about speed then I'll have to look into it more... if not, then great :) What does everyone think? Cheers, Tom |
