-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Magne, sorry for answering somewhat late, but first I was busy with a RC, and (before this was finished) I became sick :( First thanks a lot for the compliments, we spent a lot of effort with the game play (physics, nitro, skidding), and while it took an awfully long time, we are heading in the right direction I think. So your confirmation here is highly appreciated! [...] > Now, to the things I think should get improved: > > The Quick Race/Grand Prix selection screen does not look too good in my > opinion. Yes, the whole GUI system (and contents of menus) need to be redone I'd say. But with irrlicht we can use their widgets, which should make this easier for us. > The suspension obviously needs some tweaking. But, this is still in > development, so I won't whine about it. It's still not perfect, and I am aware that sometimes the wheels are too far away from the chassis - but sometimes it adds a bit of a comic feel to it (though we should tweak some parameters to make this less of an issue). > Same goes for skidmarks. They look OK, but the AI makes really > discontinuing skidmarks. Just some nitpicking by me. Hmm - that's not so much the skidmarks, it's more that the AI decides to skid/stop skid too often. Maybe we could smoothen this a bit ... thinking :) [...] > The plunger works OK, but isn't too good visually. Still, it's a good idea. I think it's one of the best things (and a really new idea) in STK - ever had the AI hit you from behind with a plunger, and then overtake you? It's quite cool :) Visually it can probably be improved, suggestions are welcome I think the other points were already addressed by other people, so I leave it at this.
